About

I was born in 1974, am a father of four, divorced – and have learned to stand in the midst of life: between family, relationships, work and the small and large crises that affect us all. For many years I accompanied people in difficult life situations – whether in youth social work or as a contact person for employee representation in church and social contexts. This experience is joined by my scholarly passion: philosophy.

My academic path led me from the study of Social Work to philosophy and history. Today I bring both together: the scholarly clarity of philosophy and the practical experience of counselling people.

In addition to my scholarly work, I am myself initiated into several spiritual lineages: a Gauḍīya tradition, a Śaṅkara tradition and the non-dual Trika tradition. I was once a brāhmaṇical Vaiṣṇava and today follow the path of a tantric Śaiva. At the same time, culturally and biographically, I remain a European (Bavarian) Catholic with Protestant roots – a life in constant transitus in, with and between cultures.
